Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. Ecclesiastes 9:7

Every dog I’ve met celebrates in different ways. I’ve met dogs that fall over in joy, dogs that jump, run, spin, wag till they fall over, bow, and occasionally some dogs wet themselves (I’d like to hope we can all celebrate with so much freedom sometimes). The wonder of all this is most times the celebration happens at the simplest of things: a friend walking in the door, a car ride, a small treat.

Jumping for treats

Celebration of everyday things is so easy to miss out on. I don’t celebrate all the wonderful meals, time with friends, or simple adventures in my life. Yet I’ve seen the way it can bring a smile to the one who loves us and provides them for us.

Dear God,

I will celebrate with abandon at the simple and wonderful things you have done. The little joys and blessings you’ve put in my life overflow my day to day. Thank you.
